Alot of people you know, friends etc are into the whole PUA world too. Knowing what you know you can see how they operate and the frame game is played constantly. Do they do it unconsciously or are they among us? o.O ha.

I don't think many men know about the PUA world at all. They may learn things through experience and from talking to friends, which they may unconsciously apply in field. Some may get quite good too but I think the vast majority of these types of men do not know about the pickup community. I'd say less than 1% if I had to guess know about the pickup community, possibly less.

Thanks for your response. Yeah that makes more sense. It's crazy, I used to have so much "natural" game and then I went downhill. That was before I even imagined a place like this exists. That's how I ended up here. To regain what I used to have but this time understanding fully what I was doing to be successful in the past and applying anything else that I learn here, in the field.

I think people underestimate how popular the community is.

Pick up has actually exploded onto the scene over the past few years and its popularity keeps rising. I know for a fact that alot of my friends read up on PU, but never disclose it with any of us. Maybe they will feel threatened if other people have the same knowledge they do...?

I just found out about it because some chick on YouTube made a recommendation to read The Game by Neill Strauss. That caused me to do some research and then I found the pickup communities. That book was published in 2005, which is fairly recent how books go. Then there is The Pickup Artist on VH1. I imagine most people who watch that show wont even do any further research so to them it's just another show but that's still huge exposure which will certainly lead a lot more people to discover PUA. Then there are things like YouTube videos and misc shit on the internet and word of mouth. Perhaps you are right that I am underestimating it but I still think that despite all this not that many people know about the pickup communities.

I know if one of my friends were in to this I would love it. However I will definetly not introduce anyone to it because here at least, it wouldn't be so socially acceptable. People would think "oh he's not being real or genuine, he's only doing this because he's a freak who over thinks everything" when rather, that is not the case. To me this place is like your big brother who gives you advice!

I was telling one of my good friends about this community and that's basically what he said. "I'd rather be myself" and "i've seen that stuff and they teach you to be fake and i don't like that". I tried telling him it wasn't like that at all and its just about knowing what to do in different situations but he didn't get it. I completely agree with you that it's more like a big brother giving you advice. Whatever, his loss!

Your mate is right to an extent but thats not how I view it. Its funny because I think WE ALL are PUAs inside. its just a matter of actually bringing it to the surface, so its not really fakeness its more understanding. (Its a bit like an A* student in Maths. Maths didnt make him smart he was smart enough he just needed teaching as to how to apply his intelligence doing maths)

I came here cos of a girl, like im sure 90% of the members on here, she was interested in me (and me in her) but then she lost interest. I came on here and after reading and reading and reading I came to realise that EVERY girl that gotten interested in me, or i won over, was because I was acting in the same manner that I am "taught" to act.

What PUA does for me, is help me bring all this "natural" side of me to the surface and become more conscious of how I am and how i act.

So in answer to your question I think of people are aware of "game" even girls but people just sometimes either chose to ignore it or restrict themselves from using the terminology associated with PUA.

I agree with you sir which is also why I agree that natural game is the best form to have. PUA community is all about discussing various techniques which we have learned through experience to help each other out. I do think that all of us men (even not on this community or never heard of PUA) develop different methods which they use to pick up women, even AFCs who fail horribly have different methods that they use, but their methods don't work. It's essentially about getting companionship and/or validation, which is a characteristic of humans. I am glad I found out about this community because i know my own personal success has increased since I found out about it, and I still have a fuckton to learn. I don't think as many people know about it as assumed. Some might have heard of it but didn't take the time to look into anything about it ie routines, openers, etc. Hell, My best childhood friend who was pretty much better than me at all things, looks, sports, social circle etc came out to me that he didn't lose his virginity until 18! I was shocked because of the way he'd always tell stories about this or that girl. It got me to thinking there must be something else beyond all this of why girls are attracted to men because if he's not getting pussy I don't know who is. That's pretty much how I found the community. A little off topic but I just thought I'd throw that in there.
