Just hold her close ans shush her, telling its ok. Dont ask what is the matter, just hold her, shush her and even caress her. Dont grab her boobs, her ass or anything like that, as it really aint the time. just hold her, caress her back and shush her.
Been there before with somebody, at a conversation, i suddenly hit a very sensitive point i guess. Never been in the friend zone and i dont perceive it as rude. If she wont let you touch her, then dont, but even so, shush her then.
