Hi Guys,
I recently watched an Allan Pease video on body language & communication and it got me really interested in non verbal cues. I have had a read on this forum and found an awesome site (google businessballs body language) but so much of it is contradictory I was wondering what your opinion of it all was.

Smiling
I was reading one of the posts on this forum and it was quite anti unnecessary smiling as it showed weakness, harmlessness and lack of intelligence. I was confused because isn’t smiling contagious and if a girl were to mimic you, her smiling would surely encourage her to enjoy herself more. I mean if you are enjoying yourself smiling can’t be that bad.

Eye Contact.
I also read that lots of eye contact symbolizes neediness. Doesn’t it also mean honesty, interest and attraction? I was reading 2/3 eye contact was about the right amount but how was that worked out?

Lack of Interest vs Nervous/Defense
I haven’t heard much about this but with push and pull tactics is it worth crossing your arms or looking at the floor etc to show disinterest to encourage a girl to push for your approval (hmm probably could have worded that better, I sound like a jerk). Most of the disinterest habits are very close to nervousness and self preservation which are both signs of lack of confidence.
I guess one thing I have noticed is the guys that have their hands behind their head (dominance/authority) and then have their legs out with ankles crossed (disinterest /defense). Talk about mixed messages.
