Last night i met up with a girl i had been hanging out with and texting etc. Anyway her ex was in the same club we were in and he was hanging around like a bad smell. Today it came up in a text.

I casually dropped the question in if she was still into him (she was a bit flirty hugs and shit, dont know if that was the alcohol though)

her: no im not still into him, obviously we have a history but i dont want to be with him. I dont want anything at the moment. I hope thats alright?

my reply to the message was: I wasnt saying that anyway so thats alright. My life is pretty hectic at the minute with training (new job away mon-fri for the next few weeks) and i like to get to know someone for a while first before i decide if i want anything anyway! But i like you so far so u never know, u may be in with a shot.

Is she testing me or is she politely fucking me off? We are going ice skating tonight with a couple of her friends, not the best scenario but got to work with the cards your delt.

Anyone have any good advice about it or what to do next will be appreciated cheers!!!

I'd take that as she doesnt want a relationship, she just wants a fuck buddy... however when i look at it from your perspective she was suggesting simply friendship in a nice way.

also your reply to her text was a bit much... and kind of a turn off no offense. next time keep it short and sweet. You should of replied to her text with " lol cool, im glad we're on the same page"

Fyi: try not to question a girls interest in another guy, it just makes you seem jealous and unconfident.

Test or not, you've still got to pass it. Your reply was a big overreaction.

Fuze has it right, when you don't know what to say, go with "That's cool" and leave it at that.
