So I'm definitely having more success at getting the digits whether it be out in a grocery store, at the club, or online. My question at this point is what I should be doing with the numbers, and what I should be aiming for. Should I send a text and make a date that way or should I just call and set up a date that way? If I call, how long should the conversation be? I know these are probably super elementary questions, but I am an AFC and just getting to this point where I am getting numbers has been a learning process from scratch itself. So...wouldn't mind some feedback and then I'll put it to practice.

I'm also noticing some things about my game that the community refers to as sticking points. Depending on my mood and how I'm feeling, I'm getting a lot better at approaching and I'm seeing improvements. I can usually think of something pretty quick to open with, and most girls are happy to respond. Then...I start getting shaky with what to say. I try to keep the conversation light, try to show them a bit of my sense of humor, and try to avoid serious questions like what do you do for a living. More times than not just after the opener and her response I start drawing a blank. I'm so in the habit of asking serious questions and being serious that my mind leads me to those right away and I can't think of anything fun or joking to say. I'm finding the online stuff is helping a bit because it is giving me time to come up with things to say...a routine I guess...and then I repeat it in the real world. Is this a pretty common problem to have? I think it's just a matter of practicing more and developing those routines. The whole phone conversation also scares me a bit because of this reason. I can call and have something funny to say up front, but then after that it seems to go downhill.
