so i haven't spoken to the girl i like and now its the summer holidays and i wont see her for 2 months so i was thinking of saying to her on Facebook hey i know we haven't really talked but i wanted to say have a good summer and hopefully she will talk back and we can start talking.

For example, I was recently in the same position as you and the girl's profile picture was her standing next to a palm tree in miami. She's pretty short so my comment was:

To answer your question, yes...that would seem weird #1, #2 it would make you look desperate and clingy. Don't get me wrong, your heart is in the right place, but you have to remember you're dealing with women. They will eat you up and spit you out if they sense weakness or wussiness. And leaving a message like that for a girl you barely know communicates both.
