www.meetup.com is a cool site

basically, people from your community who share a common hobby get together and "do" that hobby together.. its cool.. some people make a group of just singles who all go out to a certain venue and there you can mingle with the singles of the group..

I recently joined meetup and maybe I'm in the wrong groups (hiking) but the outings have been like 15 guys, 2 girls. girl 1 brought her boyfriend and girl 2 is old enough to be my mother. I agree with "the real world."
