Could building muscle compete with building technique?

I went to work today and we were all talking about ways to do better with women. They were saying going to the gym and building muscle is the most efficient way to attract women. But I was saying with all the good pick up material around now, reading it, then going out and practicing it is the most efficient way to spend your time. What do you guys think?

i've done both.

in the last two years, i've lost 70 pounds of fat, and probably put on 20 of muscle.

i'm about half way to vin diesel'ness.

but my game was desperately lacking.

i got looks, but nothing else.

when i started implementing pua tactics...instant results.

If you are fat, losing weight and firming up can't ever hurt and can only help.

If you are scrawny, getting some meat on your bones will never hurt and can only help.

Health, fitness and vigor all all positive traits and can only help your game.

BUT it is only one piece of the puzzle and it wont carry you no matter how buff and ripped you are.

You still have to be able to look someone in the eye and open your mouth and talk to them.

It will help but bulging biceps will not carry you.

Sure, working out is great, but I have seen plenty of built guys get gunned down and plenty of not so fit guys with good technique get extremely hot women. So the body can help, but the mind will conquer.

It was because of PUA that I started bodybuilding and I love it!
Being healthy, looking good and relieving stress in your work outs can only help.

Since PUA is about self-improvement, you should improve everything, including body, mind, spirit.
My opinion is that you can be really awesome in the techniques, but you will not be congruent if you're not really what you project. Come on! Do you expect the girl to believe you get laid a lot, you're this Cocky&Funny dominant, confident dude when you're a skinny nerd who plays the xbox all day long?
