I'm new to this.
I was in a quiet pub near where I live last night and there was a cute barmaid who I liked.
She was showing me a few IOI's, and I think I was doing quite well with the cocky/funny stuff as she was giggling a lot.

So I thought I'd step it up a bit: I said

"You're really cute" A long pause while I stared into her eyes. She blushed.

"I think I'm going to adopt you as my little sister" I could see she was a bit confused. Maybe slightly disappointed. I paused again while looking into her eyes again.

"Or I could marry you" Again a long pause.

"No, I don't think you can cook... Can you ?"

I didn't let her respond. I just turned to the bartender and carried on chatting about some stuff we had been talking about before she came over.

Is this what they call push/pull ? I've been a bit confused with what this really means.

It was, but I would rather not do it back to back like that, it becomes repetitive and lessen the effect.
