So I was at this bar, and there was this one waitress that I mistook for someone else.

ME: Wasn't that you on facebook saying that you can dougie better than me?
HER: NOOOO I couldn't dance to save my life, I'm a white girl
ME: Ohhhh well someone looks just like you then
HER: blah blah blah maybe its her over there blah blah.
ME: OK nvm then.
HER: Ok if you needed anything hit me up!

Later throughout the night I would come across her, and we would just smile at each other....then when I was sitting (near the bar) she approached me...

HER: Need anything??
ME: Naaaa I don't drink, I'm a good boy
HER: Oh OK thats good, but don't you need it blah blah.
ME: Naaaa I just need the right music to dance to,
HER: What kind of dance do you do?
ME: jigging, pop locking basically everything except break dancing(Which they were doing a lot of) Do you dance?
HER: YEaaahhh but no hip hop.
ME: What kind then?
HER: Dirty dancing
ME: Like stripping?
HER: NOOOOO
ME: Like hands on your knees?
HER: Yeah something like that....

I'll spare you some detatils, but I asked if she would dance with me(I half twirled her) she said she didn't think she was allowed to dance with anyone, and that she will ask and get back to me on that..... She couldn't :/ and after that I didn't really bump into her much, when they were closing while she was still working I went up to her and said bye.....

So was she just being polite or did I miss out? And if I did indeed miss out, she does work there, what could i do to # close her smooth?

Sounds to me she actually liked you. I'd go there sometimes, get that convo going again, try build more attraction and go for the # with something like: I don't usually do this, but we just must go dancing sometimes, here type in you # and I'll call you, I promise.
You already gave the impression of a good guy (not nice guy hehe), so with a line like that you communicate you're not some sleazy guy who picks up waitresses and she is special because you want to see her again, you promise to call her because you have so much other shit going on, but you really like her and you won't forget to call her. I guess. Maybe other guys can tell you something better, I'm no PUA.
