Hey guys i thought id give a neg a try today, i was at a restaruant today and the waitress took awhile to bring out menus so when she came with the menus i was like "wow bout time you got us some menus" is that a good neg? is it even a neg? i could never really tell if im negging or not..

I haven't read alot, and im totaly noob myslef... but isn't neg something you use to lower your targets something ... as a response from your target? Also as teasing thing, with a smile on your face etc ...

Like in a grp you talk to others, ignore your target, if she tries to get attention you neg her in a cocky and funny style ... not the other way around ... neg first, then do stuff...

Also ... if you want to hit on a lone target ... i think building a conversation that last a bit, before you start using negs ...im not sure

Negs can be very effective on lone targets, its just how you use them. But The Doctor is right, negs are typically backhanded compliments. There has to be a positive and a negative aspect to them. Like, "Yeah, those are nice shoes, but they would show off you legs nicer if they had laces crossing all the way up your calf." Or, "Your teeth are kinda crooked aren't they? That's ok though, it looks cute when you smile."

personally i'd just never call a waitress slow...seems kind of dickish nomatter how you do it.

Yeah, waitresses jobs are hard enough as it is. With saying they are slow, you've effectively blown out any chance you might have had with her.

what if the waitress is like cool with you cause like im cool with her i see her pretty much everyother day she wasnt some total stranger...

I still wouldn't go with the slow thing as a neg... I usually try to avoid involving a hired guns job in a neg... (except strippers because they typically have major 'daddy issues and it up when your way more of an asshole then normal)...

Maybe something like "I love your hair! You know... you might actually be pretty cute if you were all cleaned up." then like all negs be ready to gauge the reaction... genuine hurt gets a compliment or Kino because your DLVing someone who doesn't think she's above you... most likely if not that then it'll be a shit-test such as "You don't think I look cute now?" which personally I'd respond with indiffrence and a little enuendo. eg."Eh you look alright... personally I'm not a fan of sweaty girls in clothes"... or you'll get an IOI which is best because that means your Neg doesn't really need a part 2... you can just fluff more, pattern, close etc...

Well Negging is kind of like being a dick to them... but still with some sort of compliment.

The biggest problem with the speed neg, is it's something she hears all the time from cranky old fat people... you don't wanna get clumped with them at all. And say just using the example that I used in my last post. Your complimenting her about her hair and that she'd look good cleaned up but implying that she's not that cute (meaning not to cute for you, because she's on your same level not above you).

Negging can really be tricky man, I'd suggest reading up on it some more and maybe checking the feild reports some of them show convo's that include some Neg's.

Yeh it does seem really really tricky i just search the forums and read all the negg threads and i noticed alot of people saying you dont really needa neg unless their a HB 9 or HB 10 so i was thinking maybe working on other parts of being a PUA first such has opening and acutaly talkin to them...

That's just their opinion. Some PUAs never neg. Ever. I personally neg a decent amount. Some guys swear you can't neg successfully past A2 or something. I keep negging through the whole relationship in order to keep it playful and sexual tension by making her try to DHV to me because I joked that she could be hotter if she wore a certain item of clothing, or did a certain thing with her hair.

yeh but i guess negging isent enough you know i would need to know how to actually talk to the girl cause when i talk to a girl i notice my weakest quality is taking to them i have close to 0 game im more of a bore them to sleep kinda talker lol i needa fix that
