I've been thinking about this one and can't come up with a solution.

So basically, I've had a pretty shitty mood this week, I'm guessing it's due to the high protein low carbs diet I'm on to cut for summer.

Problem I come up with is when I talk to any girls via text/phone, I keep on lying about my current mood and say I'm super good and my week is super fun so far... Which isn't the case.

Now what are you guys doing where you're actually feeling down and a girl initiates conversation? Do you lie and say everything is great (making you seem like a fun guy) or are you being honest and say you're in a piss poor mood? (with or without explanation?)

So far, I've always been lying but I'm kind of thinking about being honest from now on and going with something like...

HB: How you doing?
Me: Meh, been feeling a little down this week. You should cheer me up!
HB: Why you feeling down?
Me: Explanation.

And work from there.

Or should I just stick with the lie and just say everything is great?

One lesson I've learned, is to never lie. It always comes back to you and bites you in the ass. Personally I don't see the problem in telling this girl why your in a shit mood. Just tell her everything you told us, and things will work out fine. Good luck!

Only one reply?
Does anyone else have an opinion? I'm glad you asked this question as I am always wondering the same thing. I bullshit and say I'm great etc looking like the guy who is always cheerful. Girls have said to to me in the past, you're so fun to be around as your always smiling etc
However, its tough to keep up all the time!!

1. You have to replace the carbs with high quality sources of fat or you will suffer from low energy and mood. Get high quality fats from fish oil, coconut oil, olive oil, grass fed butter, whole unpasteurised milk, raw cheese, eggs, grass fed steak and lamb, flax seed and avocado.

2. It's totally ok to be honest about how you've been feeling, as long as you don't drag the energy of the conversation down with you. Admitting to having been feeling a little down, a quick explanation, and then something along the lines of "but I'm feeling a lot better now that you're here," or "but I'm sure you can cheer me up," is fine.
