Ok, so i've been reading a bunch of stuff on here about opening and escalating, who to spend time on, how much time, etc., and I had a rather odd question for you all.
When I go to clubs, I generally dance. With glowsticks. Now, before anyone gets the wrong idea, i'm not talking about the silly little chemical glowsticks, i'm talking about expensive LED ones, and a skill/dance/artform that I've invested a very serious amount of my time on, and am very good at. I don't just stand there and spin them around. I actually dance, to the music, while keeping them moving in really cool looking patterns. Now, this tends to get me a lot of attention. Of all sorts. From the super hot, super dumb, super drunk chick that walks up and asks to play with them, hits herself, then either A) asks me to teach her. in 5 minutes. without her hitting herself (pretty much "quit wasting my time bitch"), B) immediately tries to walk out of the club with them, or C) honestly spends the rest of the night trying to learn from me. I get a lot of the "stand behind me and hold my arms and show me", and also, "they look like dildos" (they kinda do haha).
Anyways, im fairly social, have very little problem walking up to random women to chat or w/e, very bad at escalating. Now that im getting better at eye contact while dancing (performing? sometimes i guess), and getting them to come over, im starting to wonder what you guys think of this as a sort of non-verbal opener. It definitely gets me attention, and I could definitely see it working to my advantage for this sort of thing, but im not really sure lol. Or I guess im not sure how I would progress from there.
