I met the girl at the bar last night who once I threw my money at when she was on the stage showing her naked body about 2 weeks ago. yes, she's a stripper. she's one of the hottest girl in town. stripper was in the bar. I spotted her from the distance and I looked for the right chance to talk to her. she was with 3 friends, (2 guys,1 girl). and finally I found at a moment nobody was talking to her so she was just pretending to send someone a text. so I approached her and said "you look familiar, has anyone told you that you look like a Miley Cyrus?". and she gave me the hard upper cut to my chin.

Is it just bad that you (as a customer) met her (as a stripper) at strip club and you spot her next week at the bar and try to hit on her?

or is the starter line 'you look familar' terrible?

when I approached her I pat her shoulder softly because she won't turn around. was this approach wrong?

Don't approach from the back, always from an angle, she has to see you coming without you coming straight at her as that could be intimidating.

and thanks, Vanazzul. that's what I wanted to hear. the thing is I couldn't approach her from the angle because she was standing toward bartenders. I knew apporaching girls from the back would be creepy but didn't know that it could be even intimidating to girls. Lesson well learned

Go up to the bar next to her/her group with your back leaned to the bar, look at her/them, open.

In your situation, instead of opening her directly, I would have opened the group, and gave her that "you look familiar" remark.
