The other night I was at the club with my friends. I saw 2 girls standing, one HB10 the other ugly as hell, got to know them and invited them to our table. After a small chit chat I invited HB10 to dance which she declined( I negged her after this by saying "what's the matter are you to shy to dance?"). I danced with her ugly friend for a bit near our table after that and just tried to be fun and not pay too much attention to HB10. My friends were taking photos, so I put my arm around HB10 when took ours and she didn't resist. By after a while they saw a guy they knew and went to his table instead. They probably sat at my table to gain some social proof and not just stand at the bar (they may have been waiting for the other guy to come to club, I don't know), so inviting them to the table was probably a bad idea to begin with, but my question is what should I have done differently and how should I have escalated? Conversing and building comfort with a girl(getting to know what she does, her hobbies, etc) seems awkward in a club and also hard given that the music is too loud. I could have number closed her as she was about to leave, but I was just too pissed(although I did not show it). Would appreciate your tips. Thanks

You can't ignore the UG! Hb's tend to get pissed when you pay them attention because you think they look good while blowing off their friend; makes you seem shallow and inconsiderate. Also, talking in clubs is really not that useful! Most of your game in clubs will be body language, facial expressions, and gestures. Use these to your advantage; don't face her head on, talk to her over your shoulder while holding a smug/amused expression. Motion her to the dance floor, or better yet, take her hand and lead her there! Best of luck.

Actually as I said I didn't ignore the UG and even danced with her for a bit. The only mistake I made is I teased her too much because she was really annoying but I don't think that's the reason I blew it because the UG returned to our table for a while after they took off. Thanks for the advice.

At this point it can appear to the girls that you are taking what you can get after your first pick didn't go as planned. Either way, there could have been external factors influencing the situation. Best of luck next time!
