Hey guys, I've been trying to dissect my current situation for a few days now. I'm currently in a summer class, and a HB8.5 who I know is in it too. We know the same group of people, had some classes together, etc. She does currently have a bf of a few (4?) months, but I know they did almost break up a couple weeks ago.

So the girl and I have been sitting together every class and have gotten to know each other better. Some signs of interest from her have slowly started to show up. A couple times she has came up to me before class when I'm sitting against the wall, and as we talked to each other she tapped her foot on mine for a few seconds. I can make her laugh no problem (as well as another girl she happens to know in class), and we often tease each other. She's missed a couple classes, and chose to text me and not her friend to say she wouldn't show up (I already had her number from a couple months ago).

A couple nights ago, she texted me out of nowhere, asking if I wanted to study at the library every night this weekend. I said I'd probably be up for it, and we ended up there last night. It went good, and we teased and joked around. When we left, she asked if I was in the same parking lot as her and I said no. She then said "Oh ok, I'm hoping I don't get followed to my car by a stranger" and laughed after. I knew she was hinting that I should walk her to her car, but I don't want to be chasing, so I laughed with her and told her to have a safe walk. She told me to text her today about studying, which I did.

The girl she knows joined us tonight, and it was going good, but they were talking about non-school stuff, so I was a bit quieter and studied, occasionally joining the convo. They talked about going out partying when the course was over, and HB8.5 told me to come.
They also talked about their bf's for a couple minutes, and HB8.5 mentioned to the other girl that her and her bf argued often, and gave a weak laugh. She was also texting her bf at the time, having a disagreement about whether they were going to hangout after or not. She was planning on leaving around 11, and when it rolled around I was in the middle of a chapter. She knew this and also knew we were in the same parking lot this time, so she tried to delay leaving. 15 minutes later she asked how long I'd be, and I told her about 10 minutes, and she replied that she'd wait for me so I could walk with her to her car. We left, and in the lot she was parked a few rows down and just parted ways with me, saying she'd text me tomorrow. I chose once again, to not chase any further.

Now, I'm trying to decide if these are any solid IOI's, or if she's simply being friendly?? I'm not the guy who moves in and causes a couple to break up, but I still want to make a good impression so that I'm on her mind.

What do you guys think? I can't read these girls out east!

Any more details about you two together? Not to be an ass, but it seems like a whole of nothing to me at this point. I don't think a few seconds of toe tapping or implying that she wants to be walked to her car are strong indicators of interest, if at all. Does she flirt with you at all (do you flirt with her)? Do you guys ever text or talk about things other than class or studying? Probably need to start escalating your game and hangout outside the classroom or you might end up as the guy she studies with because he's in a bunch of her classes.

Hey mgk, no offense taken at all man. We do flirt and tease each other, although I admit not as much as I'd like. And we do talk about things that are unrelated to school as well. However, I think that more flirting would be present if she didn't have a bf, because she doesn't seem like a girl that would lead a guy on too much. I was just wondering if maybe these were slight IOI's and if I escalated the flirting to a higher level and more frequently, maybe I'd have a legit shot with her... or if it would just push her away since she's not single, even though her bf is an ass.
