I know a girl in my school and I'm pretty sure likes to be around me. The problem is when we're alone or if she comes to see me, shes fine and flirty, even if its in class its just noone else pays attention to her, but if I see her or start flirting back she instantly distances herself, and instead acts openly flirty with another guy in the group. Today she came in while i was in the computer lab and talked to me and laughed at a couple of stupid jokes and even let a few "accidental" touches, but at lunch when we were with mutual friends I started the conversation and she didn't say anything, and ended up leaving. When i followed to ask whats up one of her friends put up a bitch sheild and i had to spend the rest of lunch killing it (successfully :)) I'm just confused on what game she's playing, or if shes just trying to stay safe...

When you flirt back, she goes to flirt with a random guy or with a specific one?

Maybe she is only trying make someone jealous (could be you, or other guy), maybe she is just having fun flirting! Some girls just like to play, like us! Maybe could be your way to flirt with her, but she keeps attracted to you.

Try push-pull.

It's usually a specific guy, and yeah it might be that she has fun flirting. I'll try push and pull and see what happens, I tried the "This is (not her name)" opener, and she stopped talking after that, and then left after 10 mins of me talking to my friend.

By being a specific guy, I guess she is trying to make one of you (or both) jealous!

I recommended Push-Pull because you will get her confused. If she is just trying to seduce you for fun, she will get confused not knowing if her plans are working or not. And Push-Pull is a really good technique to create attraction.
