I just read a post about a guy who said "i've had my oneitis" implying as if it is a somewhat common thing among PUAs. So, how many of you have had oneitis before realizing the error of your ways and doing something about it?

I am an amateur PUA, I am theoretically familiar with PUA skills ("Mystery') and the techniques work in practise!

But I experience that my game is worse when I really have a crush on that girl. Then I seem more needy, impatient, forgetting the strategy. THe openers, negs are less good then.

See my previous topic of a girl [HB 7] I have met at my gym. I had a total crush on her. It took me three months to take real actions. Of course I was way too late (DLV), and i screwed this set. I was more reactive, in stead of proactive.

Then I met another girl [HB 8-9], even hotter than the girl I described above. I like her, but had no crush on her. I gamed her pretty well. I was in control, negged her well, playing the not needy guy.

My experience, my game is way better when I like the girl, but am not totally in love with her :0

i imagine that every man living has had one-itis at one time or another.

So by that logic then a better question for this topic is "Do PUAs on these boards still develop oneitis or is oneitis just for AFCs"

EDIT: Or a better worded question: Do the "best" and "most respected" PUAs on these boards develop oneitis or put it past them completely"

Probably the best way ive seen it said. I had a Oneitis a while ago, i knew exactly what i did wrong from the start. That was before i learnt anything.. But nowadays im really trying hard on building attraction, attraction switches and being dominate, its a much better way of going about things.

Depends ... if your confidence and values are affected in a certain way you will feel less self-value and the abundance minset goes out the window.
Last 1,5 years of my life wasn't very good , my confidence was defenitly affected and i even developed one-itis while dating few girls.

However i know im having one-itis thus i reject the girl out of my reality even if she does wants me, i just leave it. Years ago before i got into good inner game stuff i did nothing about my one-itis, it's not a question of '' do i have one itis ? '' it's more like : '' do i choose to have one-itis ? ''

Most guys do hook up with girls that have traits like their first girlfriend ... i didn't liked blonde girls at all but after my first girlfriend i preferred blonde.
Thus i think most pua model their potential girlfriends after their first girlfriend, unless she's very unattractive.
