Hey guys, not really sure if this should be in this section, miscellaneous or not at all! It's not really about pick up, more a success story and advice on the next step/ it going a bit wrong!

Ok basically, at uni - currently about to finish 2nd year. But during first year there was this girl I liked a bit in my immediate friendship group. Didn't really try much on during the 1st year, but we all went away over the summer and I ended up getting with her. Nothing more on it, just a bit of a holiday fling.

2nd year - I'm in a house of 8, this girl is living with us. She's got a boyfriend by the time 2nd year starts, but she cheats on him with me within the first month or so back. We then start to hook up more and more regularly. (Thanks PUA forums!)

But she eventually told me that she wanted to make things a bit more seriously. I said I wasn't interested in that, and just wanted some casual fun, which she was fine with, and we've been sleeping together ever since.

It's now 2 or 3 months later, and I'm starting to develop feelings for her. I have slept with one or two girls since I've been with my housemate, so it's not just a complete case of "oneitis", but I don't really use these forums just for sleeping with as many random girls as possible - yes it's nice to be able to do that when I'm "in a rut", but I use it mostly to try and start relationships and more serious things.

I let her know this subtly (not into the big gushing 'chats'), but in a roundabout way I let her know how I now felt. She went home for a couple of weeks and thought about it, and has come back and said that she doesn't think she can date a housemate. She has also said that she isn't just saying it to let me down gently, and if we weren't living together, things would be different.

So now two things - leave it, or try and reassure her about the house thing and make it plainly clear that I'm not ready to give up on her just yet and want to try to make something work.

We're living together next year too, so she says she doesn't want to make that awkward - but I sort of think well won't it be awkward anyway? I mean we're already going to scare potential future boyfriends/girlfriends away - would you want to date someone who was living with a person they had slept with for 6 months and had already cheated on a previous boyfriend with?

Anyway, I know some of you guys will not want to answer this as it's a bit "relationship advice-y" but some of you also have opinions that I respect a lot when it comes to advice on women, so I thought I'd see what advice I can pick up.

Thanks
