So, a lot of guys hide behind "small talk" as a way of making sure they don't offend the girl, and use it to try to build rapport with her so she likes them, in the hopes that this will turn into sexual attraction at some later stage.
If you're using smalltalk for this reason, then yeah, it's annoying and boring because it's INAUTHENTIC. (Check out Sasha's post about this here
here-vp403661.html) You know you're being a douche, and so your brain shuts down that part that usually, amongst close friends, can come up with witty, off-the-cuff humour, jokes, stories and banter.
My trick for getting over this, is to simply be DIRECT about my intentions from the very beginning. When I was using INdirect stuff, I'd spend ages in that zone of talking about pointless shit, hoping I'd be able to somehow, someway, sometime, move the conversation to a place where I could start getting sexual with her. Either I never got that far, or it never happened. Usually, I was so worried about keeping all the routines straight in my head, and GOD FORBID accidentally telegraphing my interest too soon.
By going DIRECT, you immediately put it out there that yeah, you're hitting on her. If you project that using your confidence, then she only has 2 choices. Stick around (she's interested) or fuck off (not interested). That's it. For the ones that stay (REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEY SAY), you're then free to say whatever the fuck you like. If you've already been upfront and honest about the fact you're hitting on her - why not be upfront and honest about the fact that her ass looks fucking sexy in that dress, and all you can think about is sliding her panties down and fucking her right there over the bar, with everyone watching?
Or, if you don't wanna be that sexual, just tell her what it is about her that you initially found attractive, and why it is you decided to come over. From there, maybe tell a random story about something that happened to you recently, and then basically find out about her. But find out what YOU want to know, not what you think SHE wants to hear. If you don't really give a shit where she's from or what she does, don't ask it. Talk about what YOU'RE interested in, and see if there's anything you guys connect on.
Talking to her about what you like and appreciate in friends and lovers, means that she will naturally qualify herself regarding those traits. That's an easy way to lead into stories about your friends and past relationships, as well as setting the frame that you have come over and chosen her, and now she has to prove to YOU why she's worth your time.
