Hmmm interesting this is also a question I have and looks like you've gotten 2 different conflicting replies thus far? Any other insight about what to do in between dates?
I just personally don't like text messaging period. That's just how I play.
If the girl knows in her mind she's going to see you again (on a date) and her interest level in you is really high it is my opinion it is the anticipation of seeing you that really builds the attraction. Assuming everything else has gone right, if he's kissed her goodnight, etc. I think this situation can actually be a good thing.
Can I ask your age? What do you do if a girl texts you something stupid like "what's your favorite color?" ?
I'm 35, but my dating pool is from 19 through lower to upper 20's. I set the tone of how things are going to go early in the relationship. If a girl starts texting me over and over and calling me I will tell her I want to save it for our next date. Usually, I think some girls are intrigued by this. It adds to your mystery. It might piss others off, but I don't really care. I just reach for the next phone number. I've even told some girls that I've disabled texting with my wireless provider.
Don't get my wrong if a girl just shoots me a text every now and again I will reply with something witty, but I don't make it a priority and I never initiate it. I think texting makes it easier for girls to blow you off and puts the ball in their court to play more games themselves. I look at it like an electronic leash. I follow a rule that the phone should only be used
initially to set up dates. I call her and set a date up and get off the phone. Once I know I've got her and things are looking more long term I loosen these rules a bit.
