Okay, I have a reputation from Junior High where I was... Well, socially retarded and scared a lot of people. (In my defense, I'm in the most Mormon part of Utah and I rebelled against the norm because this thickly Mormon culture will drive people insane.) But now that I'm in High school, people are more mature and I can finally tolerate these people.

Problem is, too many people remember me as the freaky dude from Junior High and while I can get a girl I want, I think my reputation from back then'll bite me in the ass.

Any tips?

Live your life for yourself, don't worry about the other people.

Also, build a strong identity for yourself. Get really strong/fit, start a business, and/or get new nice clothes.

I know you're in school but it's okay to realise that your reputation is not static and it's also not important.

How can you keep a reputation as socially awkward if you are clearly not and display that regularly?
