| I thought I was stuck deep in the friend zone with this girl that I am really crazy about, and other than early on (like 9 months ago), I have had no real sense that she is interested in me romantically. She does give me a very warm hug (she almost always initiates) whenever we meet. I have not dated her - she is trying to maintain a relationship with a guy that she loves, but he does not love her.
But the other day I came over to her house to practice being a huge chump (brought her a lawn mover she needed for her new house), and she was looking awesome. She approached me as I was leaving and told me that she had a dream about me.
She said, "We were both at work, and I was lying down and you came up and lay down behind me. We were cuddling, and then you started to kiss my neck. I was thinking, Mmmm, this feels nice. Then we both got up and went about our day. Later my friends said that I must not have loved John [her boyfriend] very much, because you are moving on so quickly with Elijah (me). I told them, Hey, leave me alone."
That was the end of the dream, or at least the end of what she told me. I played it cool and said something like, "I have to go (I did - I was late for work), but I'll send you another dream tonight. See you!" (I have teased her before about me being psychic.)
What do you suppose that dream meant to her, and what would be a good follow-up? If she doesn't see me in a sexual way, why tell me this at all? She seemed to feel really good and enjoyed telling the dream. Not like "OMG, I can't believe I dreamed this," but like "Mmm, that was a nice dream."
In the meantime I called her once each day for two days (no answer, left no msg) and then texted her earlier this evening asking her if she was busy. She texted back "Driving" About 20 minutes later I texted back "Ok, call me ltr" and that was it. No call, no reply. Ideas?
