Hey guys, totally new to this but I'm soaking up all I can. I'm trying to write my own openers as I feel that if I write them myself they'll feel more natural. Here's one I just wrote for the grocery store. How can I improve this or keep it going? Where do I take it?

I see a girl who's looking over some products on the shelf. I ease up and start looking at them too. Then:


ME: Which one of these are best (healthiest/best-tasting?etc)
HER: I don’t know
ME: What do you mean you don’t know, you’re supposed to know this!
HER: Why am I supposed to know?
ME: Because you’re a woman…did you not get the secret female handbook?
HER: (Laughing) No, I didn’t know there was one.
ME: Oh, sure you didn’t. That’s exactly what your supposed to say…that’s how you girls keep all your secrets. What else are you hiding?. (Or maybe, "tell me one of your secrets"…)

Please share your thoughts. Like I said, I'm totally new to PUA.

IMHO it's too confrontational and putting her on the defensive.

Try something more like this -

YOU: Hi, you look like you are pretty health and fitness conscious, do you think this is healthy without tasting like a bunch of dehydrated planton turds??

HER: I don't know, you can try it I guess.

YOU: Well I guess I could try it and if it's good I'll have you to thank for it but if I choke and die my blood will be on your hands. Are you ready to take that kind of risk?

That is more collaborative but you are still busting her balls and teasing her a little bit.

I agree with Here2Play;Yard Dog's opener was a bit too confrontational.
