Ok so I tried something new. I wanted a clean shaved beard. It didn't come bad at all but it wasn't the result I wanted.

I wanted something like this :

But instead...I came out with this (I shaved my neck though):

I think I need to buy a new beard trimmer because it leaves me with a longuer beard. If you can recommand a good trimmer or the style I need to look for. I think it's the "3 days beard" but I'm not totally sure.

Also, post picture of your beard style (if you got one). :)

What's a beard? It's basically a pussy with a horizontal slit. I would just shave it all and only leave sideburns down to my ears and a bit of scruff under my chin. That's it.

The "not quite shaven" look is a sexy look but only a few can pull it off. Work with what you have and do what looks best for you. Clean shaved is one of the best looks for just about anybody. It shows you have good hygiene and take care of yourself. If you have a baby face, though (I do), you might want to "age" yourself by adding some facial hair. It should always been nearly groomed. If you can't pull off Ryan's look while still having it look neat (notice, even scruffy he looks clean and neat), don't do it. Go with what works best for your face and the way your hair grows.

Thank you for the answers.

When I clean shave, I can't stand it. I love to have at least 1mm of beard. :P

I disagree. I would say most men can pull of the stubble look V :) V

I guess that's a bit of a cultural thing, though. If I trim my beard to short I feel like a boy, and I get jealous of men with more coverage than me, and if you got full facial coverage i guess that makes you one of 'em :)

I don't know how if the trimmer i use is available outside the country, but it's similar in design to this: http://www.amazon.com/Wahl-9918-6171-Gr ... B00009RF1E

If there's a barber shop close to where you live, they might help you too.

Have fun experimenting with beard styles :)

edit: fuck yeah, 3 similes in one post. WOOT!

If you sideburns/beard arent in designs you ain't doing it right!

Every since I did it like that. Girls WALK UP TO ME, just to tell me how FLYYYY I look.

Thats just one of the MANY designs I have rocked. People almost anticipate what I'll do next. Talk about a peacock.

actually the only difference between the pictures is that the 1. one is shaped. Means you have to trim the edges of your beard at the cheeks and below your mouth.

if facial hair makes you looks good then go for it. I wouldn't try growing out a beard if youre sixteen and barely have anything to show.

My favorite (for me) is a full, thick beard that's about 1/2 inch long and well groomed with the neck shaved. It looks really good on me because I have almost black hair but "the man" makes me shave everyday so I only get stubble on the weekends and the occasional beard on leave.
