Hello,

First post here, so let me introduce myself. I'm 24 years old, I've been a nerd all my life and I'm quite shy. However, I've had girlfriends before, I know how to dress, I go to the gym and take good care of myself, so I've got at least some basics down and am not the stereotypical nerd either. Anyway, I'm here because I want to overcome my shyness and I hope to learn a lot :)

Here's my question. I figured, since I want to learn how to approach women, the way I would do it is using a very practical approach. For example, on a certain day I would choose a location, either on campus, at the shopping centre, at Starbucks, at the grocery store, etc. I would make a plan for the day, including openers that I want to use and different strategies. Then, at the end of the day I would go over what worked and what didn't work for me, and use that to do better the next time.

Now, I figured, maybe there already exists some kind of program with a practical approach like that out there. Something that guides you step by step. Because, the way I see it, learning to start conversations with women is basically learning to overcome approach anxiety. And approach anxiety is not something that can be overcome by reading books, forum posts or articles. It is something that can only be overcome with actual experience, and that requires a lot of determination and discipline.

So, I'm just wondering if any such structured program exists.

Anyone knows? Also, what do you think of my idea? Any advice is very welcome!

Thanks.

There are many different strategies which claim to be the best. Your plan of going around and just talking to women is the simplest. I would recommend not trying to approach with openers though, instead just ask a question and start a conversation that way. At first it is more important to be comfortable talking to a women before you begin running game.

Other methods involve humiliating yourself in front of people to eliminate the fear. An example would be going to a fast food restaurant and ordering a steak.

Buy Rules of the Game by style. But here is something to start with. Go around ask 20 women what time it is. Then 20 women what time it and after they answer, ask them where is the gap (in a mall) . After that ask 20 other women - where is the gap and after they answer - ask if they know if a better store for man's clothing - because of some reason.

When you do this, look them in the eye.

Then make the questions more complicated, then turn them into opinion openers. Add time constrain (a quick questions before I meet my friend over there) and root the question (give a reason why you're asking) (Whats the time? I think I'm late for my date)

small steps...

agree with the above and your plan of reviewing your daily progress is good.
