Yesterday I was putting the info I've read up on here into effect. There was a job expo at my school and there was a big (3 hours+) line just for one of the booths. Anyway I was in front of this girl, so I opened with a situational "Yup this is the line for the booth" and kept asking her questions so she'd open up. Just talking to a girl is a huge step for me. My conversational skills do suck a bit at the moment so it was hard to get the ball rolling but once we got to talking we got into a few deep subjects (religion, family, etc) she initiated.

Couple things I've learned:

Not all conversation has to be deep (I made a bet with her that this line will take more than an hour with the loser buying the winner a sandwich)

Don't say she is attractive right away without her earning it (something she enjoys that you enjoy, certain reasons why she dresses a certain way)

People have a big outer shell that has to first be penetrated (hence the comfort phase of PUA I guess) but once you get through it you can autopilot a lot of conversation.

Kino more than high 5's (I never kino so I guess it's a start)

Get the number even if she has a boyfriend.... I was supposed to get it because she was gonna text me some good bands.

Anyway I'll keep checking out more material, I did approach another girl but didn't land because I was in a rush. It makes things so much easier if I don't care about the results, and don't get oneitis.

You're very right about not all convo' has to be deep.

In fact,the initial-approach convo' should not be deep,but ligh & fluffy.

The most anti-seduction tone is deep & heavy unless you're dishing out an opener on Astrology or something abstact that women love.
