| Hey there, fellow members.
I am currently confused regarding something that happened last week.
My homie (let's call him X) and I are just hanging out in a lounge in our dorm. My friend (let's call her A) comes in and sees us. Her BFF (let's call her B) comes with her and they're eating takeout dinner.
I've known A for about a year, and she's also in one of my classes. We get to talking (X and I are just on the other side of the lounge) and X and B are basically listening to our loud conversation.
Things get hilarious when I start telling A some stories. Apparently, a homie of mine (let's call him Y) had caused quite a big controversy by starting rumors about me being a homewrecker. It turns out that Y told this story to A and B, and they're telling me about what Y told them. I laugh at everything they're saying because these rumors that Y spread are just total BS.
I tell them my side of the story, and X and I move to where A and B are, and I introduce X to A. Unfortunately, I do not know B, and A introduces me to her. I tell them that the rumors are untrue and they're laughing at how ridiculous Y is. Apparently, Y is some love-stricken dude who was super clingy with A.
As I'm telling the story, A and B are laughing. X and I are just keeping the conversation going, and this conversation gets even funnier and funnier. I see B is really pretty, but I don't pay her any attention. I'm essentially ignoring her and keeping my attention on X and A. So B is left out of this conversation unless I bring her back in by asking her a question. She gives some wise-ass comments and I tell her directly "I'm getting bad vibes from this area (I point to where she's sitting), so I'm just gonna focus on X and A." She giggles and plays with her hair.
Now I start really teasing and keeping the laughs up. X and A say I'm such a misogynist/sexist, and B tells me she doesn't associate with those types of guys. I ignore her most of the time, and ask her random questions like "What are you doing this summer?" She gives a really long answer and looks very enthusiastic about me asking those questions.
Now, we go our own way and X (who is into PUA stuff) tells me that I was so stupid for not getting B's number. I ask him why's that. He says that B was seriously interested. I didn't really notice at all, and I honestly wasn't aware that I was teasing her and ignoring her. He mentions to me that she kept staring at me while I was talking to X and A. He also noticed that B was playing with her hair a lot and that her telling me she doesn't associate with misogynists/sexists was basically her playing the game.
Now, I really don't think I have game at all. I have major Approach Anxiety. But X tells me that me ignoring her/making teasing comments to B was basically pulling her in. I didn't intentionally ignore her; I just wanted to keep the convo going between me, X, and A. I just asked some questions to B to keep her in the convo somehow.
X talks to A privately this past week and A tells X that she thinks I like B. I'm guessing A was reading my body language in that convo.
Fast forward this past week. I'm talking to another homie in the lounge when B comes up to us out of nowhere. She doesn't look at me once and keeps the conversation between my homie and herself. I'm basically the third wheel.
I really don't have much experience with this, but is this her basically flipping the script on me? She just flat out ignored me. Is she shit-testing me? Her behavior was nothing like it was last week (e.g. playing with her hair, giggling). Should I have teased her then and there by asking something like "So you're not going to say Hi?"
I know this post is very long, but I'd really appreciate some insight into this. I'd be happy to clear anything up. Thanks!
