Hello All! I've typically not had much success with women,.. and I've been working on improving my approach. For the last couple of years I've been working on myself, everything from attitudes,.. to leadership, motivation,.. to simply the way I see myself and talk to myself. Recently I've started working on outer game things,.. like topics to talk about, approaches, keno etc. It's a understatement to say that I've started to see some improvement, but I have a long way to go.
Today I met a girl who's number I got from an online dating website - we'd been teasing each other over text, and the phone for a couple weeks,.. I was heading to a starbucks to do some work and I told her that she should join me.
She was into me from the get go - we hung out at starbucks for a bit, anytime I touched her she would touch back, or lean in. She's playful like I am,.. We laughed,.. had fun - I even got to use my new game of turning away and pretending she disappeared when she said something obviously dumb. Worked great,.. she spun me back around, punched me on the shoulder and started telling me that she really is smart lol.
After a bit I told her we need to take a walk, lead her in the direction we were going arm in arm, continuing to escalate the amount of touching - soon we were teasing each other, almost touching noses. She kept looking at my eyes, then mouth, then eyes - it was pretty clear to me she wanted a kiss.
Fast forward a bit to the parking lot,.. we were continuing to play around, but now she was actually resting her forhead on mine while doing it,.. And I kissed her.
That's where things got a little wierd. When I kissed her, she started to kiss back, then sortof froze. She didn't pull away, but she got completely de-railed. The conversation kinda crashed to a halt,.. then there was an aquard goodbye, where she half hugged me, kinda moved in like she was going to kiss me, but the timing was off, and we parted company.
I suspect I surprised her. Or maybe she wanted a kiss, but then thought "I shouldn't be kissing him so soon" or something,.. Any thoughts?
If I'm in this situation again, I think I will try pulling away, running my fingers through her hair, then gently pulling her toward me, to build suspense, still be confident, but make it clear what's coming. Any thoughts on that plan?
As to how to proceed - I really wanted to text her tonight because I want to know where she stands (read that as if shes still talking to me), but I know better so I didn't. My standing plan is to wait till tomorrow night to see if she contacts me. If she doesn't text her late in the evening with something fun. Does that sound like a good plan?
