I have ADD, which means I tend to day dream a lot, be into my own world, and can be seen as aloof. So when a HB or anyone is disturbs me from my trance, I get startled, and feel too paralyzed to say something coherent. When I am on Ritalin, I don't feel the deer in headlights feeling as much

I tend to have a similar reaction to you. It's not just with women, it's actually with people in general. I am shocked usually whenever ANYONE behaves in a friendly way out of the blue. You know, like that one person per month who is actually friendly and says hello when you are walking out of a store or into the gas station? It's not anxiety, so much as it is not being prepared for a social interaction when one is very unsuspectingly thrust upon you.
Of course, this response is highly intensified when it comes to a social interaction with a woman due to the attraction factor.
Maybe some not-so-corny canned generic responses would help. _________________ what dr. house brings to medicine, i bring to everyday life (an extreme dose of cynicism), don't listen to the curmudgeon!
