Hey Guys,

So I've been dating a girl off and on for the past 3 months, not exclusive. Have total oneitis, wish I didn't but this is the hand I have been dealt. She is flaky, distant and has told me on a couple occasions lately she thinks she might just need to be friends for a while "until she sorts everything out", whatever that means. Anyway, to fend this off this terrible oneitis I have been meeting other girls and going out on dates. So, long story short, she texts me last night and asks if I might want to catch a late drink downtown. I'm honest with her and tell her I can't because I have a date. This is a little risky, and I feel like I might have hurt her feelings. Did I go too far? Would you guys have made up a lie, or do you think the fact that I'm hanging out with other girls helps the cause??

I would have done what you did "I'm going out on a date tonight." or more likely I wouldn't have answered the question at all. She doesn't deserve your attention right now and a freeze out would do you well. FREEZE OUT & GFTOW
