Instead expect nothing, EVEN expect to bomb out most sets. I remember when i was starting 3 years ago i went out one night with a few of the guys and aimed to get as many rejections as possible. That was my goal, i wasn't nasty or rude i just didn't expect anything.
It went exactly like that for the first 2 hours, and it was brutal! If i was to pick 3 nights that changed my experience of being a PUA and taught me the most that would be one of them. I learned more about the "Do Nots" And the "Do More Ofs" in one night than most other sarging experiences.
My top five tips for approaching are:
1. Get yourself in the mood, listen to music, watch pick up videos on you tube or read some stuff from the forum whatever gets you in the mood.
2. When you leave the house, and i literally mean as you step out the door you are in GAME ZONE! You must approach the first HB you see.
3. Expect nothing, you are learning, its not supposed to be easy, but take every experience with a pinch of salt and learn from it.
4. If you feel moral dropping get out the trust i pod or mp3 player and get that tip one stuff back out again. Take a time out and review then get back into it.
5. And last but definitely not least ENJOY what you are doing. Pick up is supposed to be fun! If your not having fun your doing something wrong.

when approaching the ONLY thing to expect is rejection if you expect rejection(and not aim for it) surely it kills AA

It can be one word or it can be weeks of conversation. You expect to open and the rest is a bonus. You walk away feeling like you have learnt something, its just like if you walked up to a guy in the street and asked him the time. You expect him to tell you the time but you are not really bothered about any extra chat.
Now this is purely trying to get rid of your AA. When you feel more at home approaching you can start adding the rest of the techniques.

if you never say blood and guts a slaughterhouse would be terrifying to you..
but if you saw it your whole life, it wouldnt bother you.
so..
Since you never approach girls they terrify you..
but once you do it, it'll feel normal.
Believe me, its really easy... Everything telling you not to is imaginary.. theres absolutely no reason why you shouldnt.. and this is just the first phase of a process that will take you a lil while to get the hang of, so the sooner you get over this, the sooner you learn the fun shit.
in my opinion; you prolly shouldn't complicate it more than you need to by thinking of all these things you need to do right, or what mood you need to be in and adding all this importance to it.. treat it like a normal thing you do.. like a handshake..
