Update from this thread. Short summary, met a girl, got LJBF by her shortly after confessing my feelings for her. Haven't spoken in months. Recently made contact again. Hoping things go different.
I'm fully aware this is a bad case of oneitits, but I don't think that's necessarily too bad as long as I'm keeping my eyes open otherwise (for instance I number closed a girl at a bus stop on Thursday)
Also on Thursday, I texted this girl to get running again. I said something along the lines of "I'm going for an easy 3 Friday morning, you in?" (Not making it seem like my plans hinge on her) She says she can't, but suggests Saturday morning instead. So that's what we do.
Running obviously isn't very conducive to kino, but I did lightly pat her a few times when I made jokes and of course we had a nice hug as she left as usual. I also attempted to tease her/throw some negs when I could. For instance, she was into a big story and lost her train of thought. As she was regaining it, she said, "blah blah blah" while she tried to continue. I said, "Don't worry, that's all I'm hearing anyways."
A few interesting things:
It became very apparent that although she is single, I'm definitely not the only guy in her life. In the past week she told me how she had one friend help her make business cards, another install software on her computer, and another cooked dinner for her twice last week. I joked something along the lines of she's really good at getting things out of people, but she responded that she just had great friends. If I'm not careful, I could very well fit into the "running buddy" category of her life, just like the other chumps who cater to her. How can I differentiate myself? To be honest, my end goal is a long term relationship with her.
Uncomfortable moment of the day: After the run, as we went back to my apartment, a woman who works in my building asks "Is that you're honey?" I kind of laugh and say no (very uncomfortable) and the woman says something like "She looks like she could be soon," (at which point I almost said maybe) and said she's cute. Really awkward, but we both kind of laughed it off as we walked away.
