Hi everyone.
Long story short, boy + girl met up few months ago, boy had to leave, couldn't game, been msging online ever since, met up few times, friendly chat bla bla. Now boy doesn't know is girl would be willing to get together. Boy knows that she cares about him, but not sure if like a friend or like a potential lover.
So yes, we have been talking for quite a while now, met a few times at partys. I'm confused and scared that she put me in the friend zone. She has an ex that she really cares about (her first love or whatever). She tole me that they're not officially together (however I know that they meet regularly), and she really cares about him.
Any ideas on where does this leave me?
Now my instincts tell me to go for it, and if it doesn't work out go for the next one, but she told me that she likes me and wants it to stay that way. I'm guessing frienzdone. If it's true, then if I go for it I ruin the friendship, leaving me feeling like an asshole. shit.
Any ideas on how to get out of it? Any help would be appreciated.

if in all those months and talking you haven't made a move havven't flirted and more importantly she didn't show interest in being with you, she is obbviousely not interested and that won't change.

here's an idea man. You have to start being mean. Im not saying be a dick, but start making fun of her. This is a tricky game, and it could push her away, but it is the only way you will gain any respect as a potential more-than-friend. Once you have established this kind of teasing relationship, start hanging out with her. The trick is knowing when to turn it off and start being nice, usually when you want to close.

There was a ~one week period when we used to hang out, she would meet me 1 on 1, would give me IOIs (excessive touching, etc)... I had some problems (I found out one of my best friends was involved with her in a way ... since than that shit's handled btw) and couldn't close her back then.

So ... is there no friggin way to get out of here?

I was thinking I should cool down for a month or so (not talk to her too much, or even ignore her completely) and then start over in a very flirtatious tone ...

I'm in this for 6 months now, had a few successes (I never used the PUA training style, it feels kinda shallow), but never experienced this problem before, every girl in my life was eighter a target or a friend (or mom), never mixed.
