So I'm an iPhone developer and I'm planning on making an app for the PUA community. At it's core I'm planning to have it so that users can use their geo-location to rate the quality of the girls around them in order to essentially create a map of where is hot both nationally and based on individual cities and clubs for refrence when sarging in a new area.

However I'm also looking at other features we could add, current possabilities are:
- Planning a sarge/ finding a wing,
- Finding a local lair,
- Acronyms guide for new guys,
- Routines guide,
- Possability affiliating with one or multiple of the good-pua's to have some video examples in there?

I was just wondering if theres any other stuff you lot recon would be useful?

Along with the geotagging thing, you could allow people to sort of make an account, and it says where they live, so people can actually find wings easier ( like what you said?)

Re the address thing - maybe an account + "PUAs in your city" with a form of messaging system just to alleviate privacy conscerns (ie so you can message them your address, but I dont get sued for just giving everyone access to it)?

Yeah the motivational stuff is a good idea + also maybe an AA exercises section?

Don't call the shortcut 'pick-up guide' or some such. Tricky to explain if a girl gets your phone.

Yah I was thinking standard PUA terminolagy on the basis that I expect most girls are unlikley to identify it as a "pick-up" app?

Hot spot isn't bad, something discreet. Are you looking to make money off this? Because dependant on that, there's a lot you can do precisely for PUAs if you're not trying to please the masses with it.

Yeah we're planning to monetize it, but we're probarbally going to have a "general" app which is just the ratings stuff, then have some "specialist", so one thats very PUA centric, one for lass's with the geo-location stuff but based on guys scores rather than girls etc...

Would love to hear the precise stuff that you have in mind? I was considering a business model whereby we team up with one of the Well-Known PUA's and sort out an affilliate style setup whereby any folks who buy their dvd's/ sign up to a session etc we get a % of profits from, but still thinking thru how that model could work...

So you're basically asking us for FREE advice and eventually charge US for your app? Sorry bud, I'm keeping my ideas to myself. Non-profit I'd be willing to help, but I don't think it's going that way...

Thanks for the reply, but the business model isn't necessairily "you pay for it"... Theres tons of other business models be it advertising, affiliate schemes (ie a free app but we try sort out a deal with PUA whereby if we generate a sale of one of their products we get a % as a result of generating that lead), it dosent necessairly mean you guys paying...

Also taking into consideration, I do this for a job I dont think "me making money from it" in which ever business model we end up using should be a deemed as a problem given that we all need to make a living; this app will likley take 3 months to make the the feature set planned and I doubt anyone on this forum would be happy working 3 months for no money ... So me charging for it isn't me trying to be greedy, it's simply me needing to make money to live.

Ultimatally I want to create something of real use for this community. I will try utilize the best business model as possible for the community while still ensuring it is viable from a cost standpoint, but in order to make it the best and most useful app it can be feedback and end-user suggestions are needed ...

Yes I understand business models completely and eventhough I over-reacted (sorry for that), it just seems like it's just another dude thinking in dollars. Of course you need to make a living and I totally respect that. Still there are enough people that make programs and apps with a community for a community. This is just a way to get ideas, but while we provide information, we later get charged for it. If you're going for the business end I think our free time should be considered worth something aswell.
People willing to provide should atleast be rewarded with a free version of it...

Apple give is 50 free codes to hand out to people so in the event it is paid then thats certainly something we can do !

Although what will likley happen is a form of virtual currency that allows multiple ways of "generating virtual money"

So:
You get the app > You get points by downloading affilliate apps (for free) > You get points by interacting with the app/ providing ratings and routines > You can get points by just straight buying them > You spend x points on doing a "where are the HB10's in x town search and other stuff".

But this essentially means we get the app filled with quality content, we generate revenue from you spending 30 seconds downloading another app (which you can delete straight away and still get the points) or for those that just want really quick use then we just have a straight "buy points" system.

That way theres essentially 3 ways of "paying for the app", two of which require no money from you guys :

1) Just pay for use.
2) Just spend 30 seconds downloading and deleting another free app.
3) Just contribute to help make the app better via content/ voting on the quality of girls in a certain club.

+ probarbally some affilliate scheme with one of the PUA Training sites.

Do you guys think that style of system would be appealing?
