In terms of keeping in contact. Shes strange in the sense that she rarely texts me.

but she wont text me first. Even If i wait 3 days, she wont text me first.
Im finding it hard to maintain communication dominance, as if i dont text her we wont talk.
The situation sucks. What can I do?

Again, action speaks louder than words. Even if she said you're the best and she loves you, but if her body language/action shows otherwise, then she's not worth your time.
I've been through this before, I got frustrated and I started to get pissed off. But then I realized I was playing in her hand. I was giving her too much power. Ever since then I adapted a new state of mind. I STOP CARING whether she initiates contact first or not, I just txt girls when I actually want to hang out. But that's it, if she wants my attention, she needs to earn it. If she doesnt call/txt, no problem, I hang out with other HBs.
If she's indeed actually interested, she knows you WILL NOT tolerate whatever bs shes trying to pull and you will WALK AWAY. Eventually she will give in and let you have the power, if she doesn't, she's not worth your time. Forcefully continue to date her only leads to disaster later on.

I'd go with the freeze out. Don't text her for 4 days. And when you texts you, respond 2-3 hour later with" I was busy, wats up?" let her respond an then " ok, I'm gonna go take a nap I'll ttyl"

She contact you again the next day. Works everytime. Slowly let her work her way back in. Slowly! Or you'll repeat this cycle till she dumps you
