What should I do, if a friend of mine, who was a lover weeks ago wants space?

I don't want to lose her. I've apologized and bought her flowers, but wanted me to back off.

Is there a way around this?

you've used the word "friend" in your question...

are we to understand that this woman was not your girlfriend or significant other? was she a friend? an acquaintance? a one-night stand?

i'd like to offer you a little insight, but it's different if a one night stand wants space vs. your girlfriend wanting space vs. a long time female friend you banged wanting space...
