Okay, here's the low down, I'm an 18 year old lad fairly confidant, BUT..
I've been meeting this girl for 2-3 months, BUT only when her friend is with her! she is a virgin and has never had a boy friend, I am struggling to see ways to ask her to meet up with her one on one, as her friend is with her like 24/7. This is as she is a shy girl, but I don't want to say to her, me and you should hang out as just us two, as I think she may be frightened by the thought. Any ways that you think of will help will be appreciated,

Invite her over for a "movie day" or something like that.

I had the same problem with my new girlfriend when i was courting her, she would always be with friends whenever we met up. I used this as an excuse to get to know her friends, make them like me and even flirt with them a little so that she'd see I'm non needy.

I then simply sent her a text a few days later saying "You know, us two should hang out, it'll be awesome! " I didn't really say "Lets hang out without your friends" directly, I implied it which is far better in my opinion.

Low and behold, movie day tomorrow.

I thought you said you're fairly confident? Man, you're literally oozing out fear and whatever word is the opposite of confident. xD

You should have disarmed her friend within the first few encounters. I usually do it on the first because the longer you wait, the harder it is to disarm a chick's friend.

2-3 months is a long time, son. You haven't done anything? Whatcha waitin for?

If she's as innocent as you say, then it's going to be far easier to get her alone than if she's experienced. First is to disarm her cockblocking friend. That means hanging out with either her AND her friend or just her friend. You want her friend to be either on your side or on a neutral side because your target will eventually ask for her friend's opinion of you. After disarming, it's smooth sailing. Ask the target to go play some physical activity with you, i.e. minigolf, football, basketball. It's better than going to the movies or out to lunch because those activities are associated with infatuation. Sports on the otherhand are not. She'll not expecting you to bust a move while throwing the ball around.

If she says she's going to bring her friend, then either bring a wingman or say something that will make her laugh and at the same time to imply that you think she's sexy/cute/hot/whater adjective you wanna use. I would say something like, "What, you've known me for months and you still think I'm a stalker?" She should laugh. "Come on, just hang out with ME. I'll try not to bite."

Btw, I'm 17. Dunno if that matters.
