I'm reading this book and it's telling me women were pretty much schooled to play hard to get because us men crave the thrill of the hunt. At that point I pretty much flung it at my wall, where it is now currently embedded. What I mean by playing hard to get is where a girl won't answer your text messages for hours, won't call you at all, and will act like her schedule's too full for the next couple of days to see you. This is supposed to make us anticipate seeing her and make us feel like we've won some kind of victory when we finally get our way.

To clarify, I know some girls are busy, blah blah. The question was, do you guys prefer when a girl is direct and shows she likes you and doesn't play games, or do some of you genuinely like that she's hard to get? Does a girl that doesn't make you chase her turn some of you off, make you feel like you're not a man? Yes and No are the only options, don't pick if you can't make a stand.

I expect a little of it. Too much from a girl I'm not really that invested in, and I simply can't be fucked.

However

Too LITTLE can actually make me not invest enough in a girl who could really make me fall for her if she wanted (despite the fact that I would always say I don't like them to play games).

I think having a pretty good ratio of closing on the day 2 helps diffuse the girl's ability to fuck with me, because she no longer "has" anything I "want" which she can string me along with apart from her PERSONALITY.

I think some girls just suck at playing hard to get. They need to run and then come back a little and then pull back again. Maybe I'm just too impatient for that shit. But yeah, if I've already closed, playing hard to get doesn't phase me anymore either. It's the day 2 that they tend to play hard to get on; guess they know what's up.

I'm reading a book where the author likes to say that women always know how far they're going to go and the man doesn't really seduce her. Think it's meant as satire though, because there's been plenty of times things escalated and the girl was clearly caught by surprise (as evidenced by embarrassing lack of shaving). Dunno if I should be insulted some girls come to me unprepared or if I should be proud I'm a good seducer. Anyway, that had nothing to do with anything.
