1) Every now and then I get gunk around my mouth.
2) I am a mouth breather (i.e. it is hard to breath through the nose), so my mouth is always open. I also have alot of spit.
3) I need to blow my nose regularly.
4) possibly the most annoying, I am deaf in one ear.
any suggestions?

For needing to blow your nose: try chewing some really minty gum, it helps me. This might also help with the mouth breathing (because of the clear nostrils) and in turn also the gunk (gunk arises if you've got dry lips, or at least it does for me!).
Try to stay well hydrated to avoid the mouth gunk and maybe lick your lips every now and then (not in a creepy way).
Is there any way you can turn the deaf in one ear thing to your advantage? E.g. as an excuse to get closer. _________________ One cannot lose what one has never had.

Try to conciously think about breathing in gently through your nose and out through your mouth. Eventually, you will start doing it subciously and it will become a natural process.
