Alright, so maybe I'm in the wrong place asking advice on this since it's "relationship" related, but thought I'd pose the question since the "alpha male" qualities are exercised by this community of people.

I finally decided to "settle down" if you will. I met a girl who I really like and I really want to keep her around. No, this doesn't mean I have "one-itis", just means I've had enough of going from girl to girl and I finally found a girl I can see myself being with long term.

Anyways, we've been together now for 3 months...Right off the get go I was AFC. I was all lovey dovey, always complimenting her, being really nice and basically saying/doing the right things to avoid fighting. I ALWAYS pay the restaurant bill. Actually, occasionally she'll offer to pay for me too. Its her birthday on Jan 1st so for christmas and her birthday I got her a bunch of expensive clothes and a bedroom set....i spent a lot of money. The other day on the phone she was telling me how "nice" of a guy I am. Those words haunt me, because of my past, being friendzoned for being nice etc..

I asked her "what do you mean by nice?" She told me that I'm nice because I buy her lots of stuff. So right then and there I realized that my feelings for this girl clouded my understanding and importance of being alpha male. She really does like me, but I want to try and turn this back around, I want to turn away from being AFC and turn more ALPHA MALE.

how do I do this?? I need your help.

We text A LOT, send pictures, I'm always saying stuff like "awe babe, your so beautiful!"...."your adorable :)" "I can't wait to see you later tonight!" "I like you so much babe!" ......... you get the idea...

I pay for a lot of things, most of the time... (sometimes she'll offer to pay)..I bought her flowers twice since we started dating and those 2 huge gifts, along with other random surprises etc)...

Should I take her through a withdrawal phase where I cut back on everything? will it be too abrupt? HELP PLEASE!!
