Is it just me or do you find it boring when you talk about your favorite music or songs with a girl?

And end up listing your favorites and why they are your favorites.

For me, i find this really boring, because I sort of equate it to talking about your computers or books.

I feel that when you talk about hobbies and such, it sort of takes a way the intimate aspect of it, because you are no longer focusing on yourself but on the object. For example, this is my favorite song, because it is so beautiful.

Do you guys get the same vibes from these kind of chat?

I think I am missing something in this art of communication that could bring things up a level. I would appreciate any help or insights as how you talk in such situation.
