friend taking away girl on the dance floor

So i went out a couple of nights ago and the song The time (dirty bit) BEP came on so i went to go dance and at the part in the song where it says "I owe it all to you" i was pointing at a hb8 and she pointed back to me so i took her hand and started to dance with her.

While dancing she took my hand and we interlocked fingers and she placed our hands on her stomach. The thing is, her friend had no one to dance with so she got bored and pulled the hb8 away from me :S

Is there a way i could of got the girl to stay, i mean it seemed like it was "on" since she wouldnt wanna let go of my hand.
Also while dancing i was in back of her and she was grinding from in front of me like ass to groin. What would be the best way to turn a girl around so shes facing you? Do i just grab her waist and turn her around?
