I work at the mall, and recently have been talking to a girl who works at a store close to my kiosk.
Now I think she might like me. I don't know for sure, she gave me a "pet name", "played with her hair", playful slaps on arm. Now being the champ AFC I am, all I have done is small talk. Recently, I was talking to her while she was closing her store, and she was counting money. I then was saying random numbers to confuse her (Should I not do this?) then she said "stop staring at me your making me nervous" (she messed up her number count), then said "that's your evil plan isn't it!" Busting out my AFC moves i said "Alrite, Yep!" Then I took her history book and started quizzing her on her history (she had an exam the next day, also I feel like a total AFC on this point, looking back).
Sometime later, she invited me to go with the club with her for her friend's 21st B-day. My response was "Maybe, if I'm not busy" (should I have been more direct and said yes? ) I ended up not going because I never got the information, How can I in a future event play this off right?
Also worth mentioning that she has a Bf, which she has mentioned to me, "Hey, cool sweater, did you get it form NY?"
her: "Ya my bf got it for me"
-Now question is what did "stop staring at me your making me nervous" mean?
-Should I try to escalate? if so how?
-What are my mistakes so that in a future event I can correct these mistakes?
