Good looking women constantly have beta men vying for the attention, so they've developed mechanisms to weed them out.

Shit tests are done by women to see if you are a) the type of man she is screening for (alpha male), or b) to see if you're congruent with your frame.

A few examples:

"Buy me a drink." This is to see if you're like every other AFC loser that will jump at the chance to buy a beautiful woman shots.

"I have a boyfriend." She may have a boyfriend, but even if she does, she's testing to see how you're going to react. Will it be like every other guy (Ok, oh sorry), or will it be an alpha response (Ignore, CF comment etc..).

It could be just about anything: "You jerk," "You're lying," being flakey, etc.
If you supplicate in your response, you lose the game. Generally speaking, the two basic responses to a shit test are to ignore it completely (can't hurt), or to respond with something cocky funny. My favorite is to agree and amplify. In other words:
"Buy me a drink." Agree and amplify. "Ok! Would you also like my credit card while we're at it?"

The closest thing men have to shit tests is qualification. Basically, put out loops for women to jump through and see if they will and if they respond in the fashion that your tastes require.

As above, basically to show they're not easy and to make guys have to work a little bit to keep the interaction going.

Over time, you'll learn to tell the difference between a shit test and her actually insulting you / not wanting to speak to you. In general, if she's smiling a little or stifling a smile, she's still standing there and is not moving away or pointing her bodylanguage away from you, she's actually looking at you (or even checking you out) to see your response (rather than looking away in a bored way or looking at her friend like "omg lets get out of here") and things like that, it's just a shit test and all you have to do is any of these:

1. Ignore it and start talking about something else
2. Agree with it to the point of absurdity and make a big joke, then change the subject
3. Say a witty retort and then change the subject
4. Turn it around / misunderstand to make it seem like she's complimenting you / hitting on you
5. PUNCH HER IN THE THROAT AND RUN
