I'm generally quite a "soppy" guy once I've been with a girl, I like to cuddle up to her, I like to share feelings etc.. anyway.

I've been talking and gaming this girl for about 2 weeks now, I like her and I know she likes me, shes told me she likes me and that I always make her smile. I'm planning on asking her out when I next see her. Now, in the last few hours we've been texting and although I've been keeping it fun, playful, at times sexual, negging etc.. generally having a good time, we've also been throwing a few soppy texts to each other, such as why we make each other smile whenever we're talking, how we can talk random crap and still have fun etc..

Does being soppy in this way at all ruin my game and lose attraction? or am I now okay to be a little soppy now that I have attraction and that showing I have a heart so to speak is likely to build comfort? I've read so many times people saying "be a man, don't express too much interest" etc.. but how far are you supposed to take that?

Normally I'd say being soppy doesnt work well, because well, its very feminine. Afterwards I'd tell you to grow a pair of balls by preferably punching a camel.

But on this occasion it worked! And thats fine, whatever works the method doesnt matter its the result that works!

Well obviously its fine with this girl, she likes the soppy stuff! But youre wondering will it work in the future? Probably not, especially with new girls. You cant go out to pick up girls with sop, or even a starting relationship. Assholes usually get it easier than ''Nice Guys''.

All in all, if your fine with this girl no problem. Dont start acting like a prick to her 'cause it seems your doing fine as it is.
But in the future mate, I wouldnt recommend it.

By the way, how old are you mate? Late teens, early twenties, edging into that third millenia?

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate that i'll keep it up then, though I'm not planning on turning into a big soft teddy bear who constantly compliments a girl, i'm still doing the push/pull stuff and the reward when she gives me an IOI, so maybe the fact I'm doing that mixed in with some soppy stuff is working, I agree though, it's unlikely to work on future girls.

Ah yeah definitely. I've made the mistake of being soppy and losing the girl in the past far too often, I don't want to go down that route again. When you say be a prick, what do you mean by that? Do you mean like bailing out on her when we're due to meet up? Or freezing her out, etc..?

Just dont be afraid to stand your ground, call her up on mistakes all that usual standard malarky. Be unpredictable!
