Posts: 11 | | Just watched the movie "The Other Guys" and it seems like the director/writer knows a thing or two about PUA ideas. I saw a few similarities. Like the several mentions about peacocks. And how Will Ferrel is liked by hot chicks even though he looks like a loser. Then there were the Alpha males, Sam Jackson and The Rock. Did anyone else make the connections? I connected with the character Mark Wahlberg played.

Posts: 1084 | | A lot of PUA developed from depictions of male - female interactions in media (AKA: Romantic Bullshit) and evolutionary theory (emphasis on THEORY, not fact). You can therefore find pick up precepts in every movie that has a male and female and sexual interest. Haven't you notice how much of an MPUA Edward is in Twilight? I'm not kidding.
