anyone wana help me out with palm reading?

done a few half assed attempts before but theres a girl at work im into (see 'wanna game hot girl at new job' in general questions forum) and i wanna make sure i get it just right!

Being a palm reader myself I feel Im qualified to let you in on a little secret.
Palm reading works like most psychic/pseudoscience on the basic princeable of cold reading.

Cold reading is a technique used by many psychics to fish for information about the person they are reading. They also use vauge and generalized statements that require the person being read to fill in the blanks and associate what the psychic is saying to their own personal experiences.

Palm reading works on the same princeable. So most of it is just generalized statements.

If you would like me to I could go into the basic details of how palm reading works.
(Life Line, Heart line ect.)
But the only thing you really need to know to palm read is how to act.

I suggest you use the search utility on the forums Im sure there are tons of posts on cold reading already on here.


Heres a few tips in the meantime.
When reading someones palm always stay on the postive spectrum of things. Not to many people like to hear negative things about themselves.

One of the best lines you can use when cold reading is "Do you have any questions for me."

This is very useful because it gives you a hint about what the person wants to know. From their you can use generalized statements that seem personalized.

I also suggest hitting up youtube for a few tutorials.

Do you see how these statements can be used for just about anyone yet they seem to be personalized?

Its pretty simple. Most of the statements I use I make up on the spot using big words and statements like "I feel.." or "Something is telling me.." add effect.
