SO last night I went out, opened about 8 sets, and 3 of the sets all had one bitchy friend who's just like "who are you" for which I had nothing so I lost the set completely.

This is well before the hook point, like 1min in the interaction.

Any ideas guys?

I think in a 2set or more you should disarm the friends and potetntial CB first. Pay more attention to the friends and less on the target. Disarm the CB by being CF and negging your target.
