No hidden messages. The previous night I'd said to her I'd text, email or facebook her a message. And I didn't.

just say something like "I'm okay, and I just didn't realise that you thought that sort of thing was so important. I'll make it up to you by talking to you when I say I will, just so long as you always have something funny and interesting lined up for me to hear "

alternatively, or additionally, have hot make-up sex. problem solved.

also, you can choose not to make any apologize at all. just call her, " i am not ok, because i was busy the whole day and i haven't any time to chat with you, maybe you could do me a favor to go to my place and have a cup of coffee together."
